Twist Sandwich Loaf

This is my go-to Sandwich Loaf... my oh~so soft and moist Sandwich Loaf that goes great on it's own, or as a sandwich filled with lots and lots of deli meat and vegetables.  I love my sandwiches with pastrami, pickles, red cabbage/green cabbage/carrots/cucumbers/red onion coleslaw and dijon honey mustard.  Or you can make French Toast with cream cheese/strawberry jam filling.  Just the thought of filled french toast, I'm getting hungry.  YUM!

Chocolate Soboro Buns

Chocolate Soboro... this a chocolate version of the original Soboro Buns.  My nephew who came over during the summer with her two sisters and mother was picky of everything he ate... VERY~ picky!  He would not eat anything without chocolate and this was one of this favorite buns.  But then again, who doesn't love chocolate??  =)  I once made my Green Tea Cranberry Cookies and he thought the cranberries were chocolate, so he was overly excited until he took one bite, then tossed it on the ground.  =(  But then overall, it was understandable because his mother spoils her kids and herself is picky, so I got nothing to say about the way they eat.  That's who they are and not like our family who eats whatever we get.

Soboro Buns

Another famous buns most Asians love... Soboro Buns.  I guess you can say it's kind of like Streusel Buns.  These buns are soft and moist with a slightly sweet and nutty streusel topping.

Red Bean Buns

The oh~so famous Red Bean Buns most Asians love.  I'm not really a Red Bean Buns fan, but the buns are baked with a thin layer dough filled with lots of red bean.  The red bean filling can be found at Asian stores in cans or in sealed plastic packages/bags. OR you can go the hard way like my sister-in-law and let the dried beans sit in water over night, then cook them in boiling water, drain them, and cook it again in low heat for a long long time until it gets paste-like.  Not worth the time unless if you don't like it sweet, then you're more than happy to go ahead and take the longer way.  =)

Lemon Cheesecake topped with local strawberries

While my husband's family were visiting from overseas, we went berry picking at a not-so-far farm near us and the great thing about this place was, we were able to eat the berries while picking.  As soon as we came home, I knew I had to bake up something, so I made Lemon Cheesecake and decorated it with strawberries.  They all loved the cheesecake and cheered how better it was than store/bakery-bought.

Macaron Buns

My husband found an awesome baked goods website for me to learn from and had requested I make this for him, so he can see how far I have come in my experiences since he has experiences as a chef for over 10 years and by surprise, he was amazed at how well, I have made this.  The buns are soft from the well-risen dough, filling is creamy from the slightly sweet creamcheese/whipped cream mixture, and sweet from the macaron batter spreaded on top before baked.  By far, the best buns he has ever tasted!  =)

Refresh & Refocus

I have been busy for most of this year due to few months of family visiting from overseas which has been quite a journey for me to experience and also, I am a mom of three beautiful gifts, so family comes first.  =)
Now that I am settled down, I am ready to refresh my mind and refocus on what I love; baking!  I will be posting pictures of my baked goods on here for you to enjoy.  I have also erased my recipes from the past and posted only the pictures which I will be doing from now on.  Happy viewing!  =D
